Bristol, a greyhound mix, lived a life of quiet desperation. She was in a situation where she was left outside to fend for herself, in fact, she did not have a name. Even though she received little attention or medical care, she stayed close by her home. Luckily she was taken in by a kind neighbor and her daughter and know is giving Bristol a name and the second chance she deserves through FCHS.
Since Bristol never received medical care, she has many health issues that require treatment. She was severly underweight, covered in ticks, which have resulted in her having Lyme disease and ehrlichia, bad skin and ear infections. FCHS has been covering her medical expenses, but needs help with her continued treatment.
Despite all of her hardships, Bristol is a great house dog, listens well to commands, likes other dogs but what makes her eyes light up is spending time with children. Once her medical problems have been cleared up, Bristol will be up for adoption to a wonderful familyt that she deserves.
Any donation toward the care of Bristol would be appreciated. Won't you please help this little girl get the type of life she deserves?

BE A FOSTER SAVE A LIFE
Franklin County Humane Society uses volunteers to foster the homeless dogs and cats in our county until they find their forever home. We need loving homes like yours to continue helping these animals in need.
This is really great for families with children. It helps them see how important it is to take care of our petsand to find that perfect home for them. For a short
period or long term, please consider helping an animal!
FAQ’s:
Can I become a foster volunteer if I have pets of
my own? We welcome pet owners asfosters, in fact it really helps
foster animals with socialization if they live with other pets
in their foster homes. We will work with each foster parent individually to
match them with the best foster based on their personal pets' personalities
and life styles.
How long do animals need to stay in foster care? Typical foster stay is two
weeks to several months. We go to adoption events every Saturday to show our fosters. We also have a program for the kitties called Meet Your Match to help adopters to find the right kitty for their family.
What expenses are involved with foster care? Families provide housing for the animals in their care. They also provide exercise, socialization and lots of love! The Franklin County Humane Society provides all vaccination, medications, spay/neuter. We alsoprovide food for the animals in your care. The most important thing is you are helping save an animals life!
